Been thinking about the blog a good bit lately. Especially since it’s been since July 21st since my last post. I finally felt compelled after receiving news this evening that my Uncle Don has passed away. He went by the nickname of Pierre as well. They truly broke the mold when they made him. Uncle Don was a constant ray of light. He had an attitude and posture that radiated joy. He loved to talk to people, loved to make them laugh and loved to make them smile. But he went beyond that, he laughed with them and smiled with them. I can honestly say that he was just as big of kid at 87 as the first memory I have of him. I would think that people who knew him his entire life would say the same thing. Uncle Don was a fun loving and kind man. He didn’t have much patience for people who whine and complain about life. I can remember many conversations about how people needed to pick themselves up and just live their life. Stop complaining and do something about it we used to say. He never complained about anything that I know of. He lived his life to its fullest no matter the circumstances. Uncle Don will be missed. He will be remembered for his laughter and joy and he serves as a testament to the power of living a life full of blessings. Love you Uncle Don!
Rest In Peace
